Your Grandfather,

brought you to the zoo and let you kissed the dolphin?

Your Grandmother,

used to wore too much make up that made you cough when you kissed her but you kissed her anyway?

Your father,

bought you a dog and called you champ and whispered I love you when no one was looking?

Your mother,

always tucked you in bed and gave you good night kiss and you’re so happy that you had a good night’s sleep?

Your brother,

introduced you to his pals and called you “little bro”?

Your sister,

told you that you’re the best little bro ever although you think that it isn’t true

And that day,

when you learned that some crazy man broke into your house and killed them all. And you weren’t there when it happened. And you blame yourself for not being there when they most needed you. And that is the very day that you gave yourself a slash on each damned wrist.
